General
What is OpinionPick?+
A social entertainment app for settling friendly arguments and casual challenges. You start a case, friends or the community pick a side, and you get a verdict. It is for fun — OpinionPick has zero legal power.
Is this an arbitration or legal service?+
No. We are not a legal, arbitration or mediation service and our verdicts are never legally binding. If something needs a lawyer, it does not belong here.
When does it launch?+
We are aiming for 2026 on iOS and Android. Join the waitlist and we will email you the moment the doors open.
How much does it cost?+
OpinionPick is free to play. Some cases carry an optional service fee — and only the loser is ever charged.
Money & fees
Is OpinionPick gambling?+
No. There is no pot, no payout, no peer-to-peer cash prize and no withdrawable balance. A service fee is a platform charge on the losing side; winners earn points, not money.
Who pays, and when?+
Both players authorise a hold for the agreed fee tier when a case starts. On the verdict, only the loser is charged and the winner’s hold is released.
What are points worth?+
Points are a closed-loop, status-only reward. You spend them in the Shop on cosmetics — themes, frames, name colours and badges — and they never convert to cash.
Can I play without any money?+
Yes. Choose the £0 / forfeit-only mode and the stakes become a social forfeit instead of a fee.
Is there a referral programme?+
Yes. Share your personal referral link from your profile — it is also embedded in every verdict card you win. When a friend signs up using your link and completes their first case, you earn a one-time bonus of points. Points only — no cash, not transferable.
What can I spend points on?+
Premium avatar frames, name colours, verdict themes, status badges, and reaction packs — all cosmetic items in the Shop. Nothing you buy with points affects case outcomes.
Jurors
What is a Juror?+
A community volunteer who reviews cases and votes on the verdict when two people cannot agree. Jurors earn points and ranks — never wages.
How do I become one?+
Switch on Jury Mode, review the guidelines, agree to the code of conduct, pass three training cases and a short quiz. About ten minutes.
Do Jurors get paid?+
No. Jurors are volunteers rewarded with points and reputation, redeemable for goods in the Shop. They are not employees.
Safety & rules
What is not allowed?+
Anything serious: legal disputes, abuse or harassment, medical or financial advice, and dangerous or humiliating dares. These are blocked automatically and by the community.
How do forfeits stay safe?+
Forfeits come from a moderated library and custom text is screened. Nothing humiliating, sexual, dangerous or coercive — awkward-funny only.
How is my evidence handled?+
Evidence is shown only within a case and anonymised when a case is reviewed by Jurors. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Account
Do I need an account to join a case?+
You can join a shared case from a link, but you will create a profile to track your cases, points and history.
How do I delete my data?+
You can request deletion any time from settings or by emailing [email protected]. See the Privacy Policy.
